Help with picking out your wedding flowers.

Help with picking out your wedding flowers.

All brides are different.  Some are organized and efficient, others are laid back and ready to pick dandelions the morning of their wedding.  If flowers are not your thing or you love them and are just confused where to start, this will help you narrow down your choice.

After many years of doing wedding flower consultations with young brides, I have come to learn the process very well.  These days Pinterest has made shopping for bridal flowers and everything wedding more exciting because there is so much to choose from.  On the other hand, Pinterest and other Social Media Wedding Sites have thrown us all a curve ball.  The more you have to look at visually, the more confusing it all becomes.  My suggestion for those who are overwhelmed by this is to break your flowers down into categories with subdivisions.  For instance, instead of thinking about all the flowers at once, work on your bouquet only.  Now you need to focus in on the color scheme of your bouquet, the shape and style and the individual flowers that will give you the look and texture that conveys your style.  Remember you and your groom are going to be the centerpiece of all you photos, so make sure your bouquet is adding to your overall look.  It should always be larger and a little different than your Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids bouquets.

If you continue this process through all stages of your flower needs you will be able to narrow down your choices.  Your wedding florist is an expert at doing this.  They will work with you to bring out your preferences and open your eyes to new ideas that you hadn't seen yet.

HAPPY PLANNING!
