APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS, WHAT DO MAY FLOWERS BRING? PILGRIMS!!! Just one of hundreds of silly riddles we used to tell our kids.
It's that time of year again, April weather is so uncertain. One day we have 6" of snow and the next it's 58 degrees and sunny. By this time there is no holding back, spring is inevitable, the trees will turn green and the flowering trees will bloom, the daffodils have sprung up along with crocus and tulips will not be far behind. From now till October we will see forsythia hyacinth, cherry blossom, hydrangea, roses, iris, magnolia, daisies, tulips, dahlia, gladiolas. gerbera daisy, peony, snap dragon, foxglove, astilbe, lilies, sunflowers, begonia, marigold and more.
I feel very luck that I am in a business that lets me enjoy most of these flowers year round. Sometimes people tell me that they would rather send a plant or gift because flowers don't last long. I think of them kind of like smiles, they may not last very long either, but it always feels great to get one.
